What is Boost?
Boost is being developed as a multipurpose attractant which can be used as a stand alone or curiosity scent.
At some point, everyone is going to be using Butternut...just like other brands that have come before.
The problem with the others is that they were over used and deer became accustomed to them.
Thats why we at Butternut are getting way out in front of that problem by creating limited runs of boosters which will only be available on a bi-annual basis and only in certain area's of the country.
With each coming year, Boost will be rotated into area's where they have either not been before or have not been for some time.
In this way, our lures will always be the lure that the deer will respond to.
Feel free to mix and match or to use as suggested.
Butternut lures are designed to work together or alone.

Currently, we are conducting our second season of field tests with our newest creation which we refer to as BOOST
Boost lures are meant to be used in conjunction with the original Flagship brand Butternut Lure, for which our company was named.
Boost lures are meant to be used as a positioning (or) curiosity lure and are best used in the following manner....
_________
Apply 1/8 oz. booster to a cloth drag, making sure to allow that liquid to absorb fully before using.
The cloth section of the drag should measure at least 1" X6"
**A drag which is not constructed of cloth will not absorb boost properly.
**A drag of less than 6" length will lay down a varied scent path which is undesirable.
For tree stand hunters:
Begin at the base of the stand tree and work away from the tree 3' for every 1' of elevation between the stand and the ground.
**EX:15 yards out for 15' high
Starting position will begin opposite to the shooters favored hand.
**EX: Right handed shooters will lay the scent trail around
the stand staring at the 6 o'clock position and going
counter clockwise from there.
Left handed shooters will lay scent trail around
stand starting at the 6 o'clock position and going
clockwise from there.
Beginning at the predetermined distance (and side) from the tree base, drop the drag and walk an overlapping figure eight pattern with width varying to no less than 8' in width.
Move from that starting point and to the end.
**End: Relates to the shooters inability to turn to the favored hand side, without changing foot position on the stands platform.
**EX:Typical right hand shooter ends @ 1 PM
Typical left hand shooter ends @ 11 AM
Ground hunters may elect to run the same figure eight at a distance within range and without concern as to position.
